Privacy policy

Fokal Optique collects your personal information in order to provide eye care and optical products. This page describes what we collect and why.

What we collect. When booking online: name, email, phone number, the service requested, and any details you choose to add. In clinic: date of birth, address, insurance or RAMQ information, prescriptions, and your purchase history.

Health information. Your prescriptions and clinical observations are health information. They are stored securely, accessible only to authorized clinic staff, and are never sold or shared for commercial purposes.

Communications. We send appointment confirmations and reminders because you booked an appointment — that is transactional. Newsletters and promotions are sent only if you explicitly consented, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

Your rights. Under Quebec's Law 25 you may access the information we hold about you, have it corrected, and request deletion where the law permits. Write to info@fokaloptique.ca or call 450-818-5868.

Retention. Clinical records are retained according to the requirements of the Ordre des optométristes du Québec. Information no longer needed is destroyed.

Cookies. This site uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
